March Newsletter
Dear Parents,
My name is Shin Wook Kim. Having dedicated much of my life to football - from my earliest years to competing at the highest professional level - I have come to understand a fundamental truth:
in youth development, immediate results are not what matter most. What truly matters is building a foundation strong enough to endure time, pressure, and rising levels of competition.
At a young age, many players can be fast. Many can appear dominant among their peers. But as the game becomes faster and more demanding, only one thing remains - the fundamentals. First touch. Ball control. Precise passing. These seemingly simple skills are what withstand the speed and intensity of real competition. When a player can execute them consistently under pressure, that is when genuine ability begins to emerge.Yet even beneath technical skill lies something deeper. True development begins with the body and the mind. A balanced body. A resilient mindset. The physical capacity to reproduce trained movements repeatedly and reliably. Proper posture, optimal mobility, and well-balanced muscular development must be established first. Only then can speed, strength, endurance, stamina, and coordination be layered with purpose. Without this foundation, performance is temporary. With it, performance becomes sustainable. At XPC, this is where we begin.
We firmly believe in the power of data. Our athletes’ football skills are evaluated monthly across eight core categories. Those enrolled in physical conditioning are assessed in four key performance indicators every five sessions. These metrics are not designed to compare one child to another. They exist to measure one standard only - progress beyond yesterday’s self. Through structured coaching staff meetings, we analyze this data and implement targeted solutions. Whether through nutrition guidance, sports psychology, injury prevention and rehabilitation, movement refinement, or individualized technical training, we pursue long-term development through an integrated and systematic approach.
Not every student who walks through our doors will become a professional footballer - nor does that need to be the goal. What football uniquely offers is something greater: the discipline to pursue a goal relentlessly, the resilience developed through repeated failure and success, and the enduring belief that effort leads to growth. These experiences shape character. They build confidence rooted in proof, not praise. They leave a lasting imprint that extends far beyond sport.
We are not simply a football academy. We are an environment designed to challenge, refine, and elevate each individual toward becoming the strongest version of themselves. The lessons learned here do not end on the pitch - they carry into life.
It is my hope that XPC will be a place where young athletes confront their limits, rise above them, and grow into stronger, more capable individuals. That vision is the reason we founded this center.
We have one clear mission:
“ Revolutionize Youth Football.”
Thank you for your trust.
